Susan Johnson is a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and has written the companion set of four books called Thirty Paths. She is a well known Yoga teacher here in Northumberland and her classes are renowned for the relaxations she delivers.
Susan’s workshop will take you gently through a breathing technique which will help to still the mind to lead you on a journey into deep relaxation.This short session will help you discover the benefit of deep relaxation and how it is essential in our busy world, to turn off and tune in. 11.45 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Workshop with Andy Hunt – How EFT/Tapping Can Relieve Stress and Distress
Andy Hunt is a Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and also a Practitioner and Trainer of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). He’s been practising NLP since 2000 and EFT since 2004.
Andy works with people who have a painful inner life. They want to change themselves for the better and they know it is up to them but, however hard they try, they stay stuck in the same old struggles.
Sometimes life can be stressful and distressing.
If you would like to learn a simple way to reduce your levels of stress and distress then this short introduction to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or “Tapping” might be just what you need. EFT is a deceptively simple process that literally taps into the body’s own soothing response to reduce the power of unpleasant emotions.
In this brief introduction Andy Hunt (AAMET Accredited Master EFT Trainer) will show you have to use this technique to reduce the stress and distress you feel in everyday life.
12.45 p.m. to 13.30 p.m. Workshop with Steven Brown – Healthy Eating; The Building Blocks of Health and Wellbeing
Having completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Newcastle University in Food and Human Nutrition, I am a Nutritionist registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN) which holds the official register for qualified Nutritionists in the UK, an affiliate member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and a healthcare member of Coeliac UK.
The workshop is designed to provide some basic, accurate and evidence-based information in a way that is easy to understand. It is intended to help clear up some of the conflicting information that is publicised by the media. I see many people who are confused as to what good nutrition looks like, and many have almost given up on the idea of trying to achieve a healthy diet, feeling that if they listened to every piece of advice they wouldn’t be able to eat anything.
13.45 p.m. to 14.30 p.m. – Workshop with Edwin Courtenay : The Violet Flame – Flame of Alchemy, Transformation and Healing

Val is an experienced British Wheel of Yoga Tutor, with a special interest in how Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help to manage anxiety and depression, with a view to exchanging habitual negative patterns of thoughts and feelings for enhanced mental and emotional wellbeing. 11 a.m. to 12 noon – Talk by Edwin Courtenay: The 12 Powers – exploring the healing power of the rays
The mystery of the Rays have long been spoken of by the Theosophists of the Victorian era to the Channellers who rose to notoriety in the early nineties but recently have disappeared off the radar of many on the spiritual path. They remain, however, a powerful resource of spiritual power for miraculous healing and magical transformation. In this introductory talk, Edwin will explain exactly what they are, detailing the 12 Rays and their powers, and reveal how anyone can tap into their energy for themselves and others.
12.30 p.m. to 13.15 p.m. – Talk/demonstration. Glynis Rose – Yoga for backs
Glynis is an experienced yoga therapist. She is also qualified to teach the Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs course.
Her talk/demonstration today is about the benefits of the course. This is a tried and tested 12-week programme specifically designed to help participants gain strength and mobility in their lower back thereby reducing pain and enabling a more active life.

Trudy is a Spiritual Teacher and clairvoyant based in Durham. She is a Consultant Member of the British Astrological & Psychic Society, the author of three handbooks on the Tarot and has appeared regularly in the local and national press and also on TV. www.trudyjashplant.co.uk

I am a woodcarving musician living in the North East and started carving my Spiritual Warriors after living on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. My workshop will focus upon the healing energy and wisdom of the “Standing People” – the trees – and how the wood they ‘gift’ us with can help to enhance our lives.
